Collaborating with Weston Surmon + Dean (now Surmon Weston), this project featured a unique working arrangement where the architects also served as contractors, designing and building the structure with our founder, Tim Gaudin, as the primary skilled craftsperson. The construction involved building most elements on-site using stud frame construction, with only the doors and bookcase prefabricated in the workshop. Our scope encompassed the entire project - structure, doors, windows, and all joinery work.
