Collaborating with Studio Ben Allen, Little Combe is an excellent example of simple, crisp, minimalist appearances with extensive hidden detailing and technical complexity. SBA provided the conceptual framework, for example, an innovative design creating an optical illusion in the drinks cabinet: an elliptical vinyl mirror that creates the appearance of a complete sphere when viewed at the cabinet's angled back wall. TG+Co then executed this sophisticated geometric concept technically. TG+Co fabricated complex curved elements throughout the space, including a portal window that connects to curved seating niches with arched tops, and a curved drinks cabinet featuring a stainless steel countertop with an integrated glass disc, CNC-cut timber bowls and pocket doors that slide behind bookshelves.
